GEODE aims to transform geoscience teaching and learning using interactive, geodynamic models designed to explore how plate movements are responsible for most features on Earth’s surface. Grade Level: 6-8 GRASP Investigating how middle school students use body movement to build deeper reasoning about critical science concepts. GRASP (Gesture Augmented Simulations for Supporting Explanations) studies the role that motions of the body play in forming explanations of scientific phenomena. We’re conducting studies with middle school students, gathering data to apply to enhancing educational tools. Grade Level: 6-8 Innovative Technology in Science Inquiry Engaging students in STEM activities through modeling, computational thinking, and real-time data acquisition. Students should engage in practices that are essential for learning STEM through both inquiry and design. This comprehensive project assists teachers in preparing diverse students for careers in STEM by engaging them in exciting, inquiry-based science activities.
